Have Johne THOMSONE married Elspit LOGANE in 1620 in Alloa.
Son Thomas THOMSONE married C(K)atherine COUSTOUNE (COUSTAN) in 1653 (her parents poss Wm COUSTOUNE & Jeanne LOGANE.
Their son David THOMSONE b 1670 marr 1697                  C(K)atherine ALLAN dob 1677 her parents James ALLAN dob 1651 & Jean(e) LINDSAY dob 1655.

Anybody out there with a connection?

I haven't really got much more info. These are a "probables" found on the IGI on line!.
Johne THOMSONE and Elspit LOGANE  had a daughter Marjorie (1634) in addition to Thomas.
Thomas and Catherine (COUSTAN) had had 4 children in addition to David. They were ...Marie (1660) Robert (1663) Margaret (1664) and another  Robert (1666).
The latest confirmed ancestor (checked by my father in local record offices a few years ago) was George THOMSONE b 17 Feb 1709/10 in Alloa, probable son of David THOMSONE and Catherine ALLAN.
Any help is appreciated. I seem to get a lot of bones but little flesh where ever I look.
George is my 6xgreat grandfather!

Sarah: We may have a connection through the Allans of Clackmannanshire.
My grandfather, Charles DEMPSTER, was born 27 January 1894 in Tullibody.  His parents were John Dempster, b.1841 or 1843 in St. Ninians, Stirlingshire; d. 9 Feb. 1914 in Cambus, Clackmannanshire and Jane ALLAN.
John Dempster married Jane ALLAN 24 April 1868 at Tullibody, Clachmannanshire.  Jane was born circa 1850 in Tullibody.  Jane's father was James ALLAN born circa 1803 in Denny, Stirlingshire.   Her mother was Elizabeth MARSHALL born circa 1813 in Tullibody.
Alloa Census 1871 #67 B Street--James ALLAN 71, farmer of 13 acres, b. Denny, Stirlingshire. 
Wife Elizabeth 64 b. Alloa. Son Thomas 30, b. Alloa.
Thomas should be a brother to Jane ALLAN.
Unfortunately, I don't have any other information on the ALLAN family.
