Anyone, help please............the only information I have is:

John Sr. BAPTIST b. 1811 Coldstream, Berwickshire
married 1833 Eccles, Berwickshire to Mary Jane DODDS.

They had 3 children, Mary abt.1833, Alexander b. 1835 and John Jr. abt. 1836. Berwickshire.

Any info.would be wonderful as I am trying to trace any relations to my Gfather-in-law Frederick James BAPTIST who we thought was born in London . ( The above info. has come to me via America! )

There is also another submitted entry on IGI for a son George b. 1839 Scotland.

good afternoon my friend, had a wee look at your post my friend and discovered why i could not find tour family on the 1841 scottish census.

1851 census; hamilton, northumberland, canada

john...farmer...age next birthday...41...born england
mary...38...born scotland
mary...18...born scotland
alexander...labourer...16...born scotland
john...age 14
george...age 11
robert...age 9
phyllis...age 6
william...age 5
joseph...age 3


and there was more children born after the 1851 census!!!

james...1852
agnes...1854
margaret...1855
david...1859

now i will give you what i found

alexander...born 31st may 1835...died 1915, baltimore ontario
john...born 1838...died 9th april 1866
robert...born 24th january 1843...died 1919 buried in cobourg union cem
phyllis...born 1845
william...born 1846, culross ontario...died 1950
joseph...born 1849 baltimore, ontario
james...born 1852
agnes...born 9th sept 1854...died 30th aug 1941
margaret...born 9th sept 1855
david...born 5th july 1859, baltimore...died 14th feb 1911

no death dates for john or mary, by the looks of thing your john was born around 1811, will do a search after, do you have a birth date for frederick?

Sorry to have been so long to reply  -  I am at a loss re this family...........

My gfather-in-law was FREDERICK JAMES BAPTIST, no idea of birth date, marriage or death dates.  He married EMMA EVELEIGH.  His son, also Frederick James Baptist, was born in 1902 in London (we are told).  He migrated to Australia in 1923, married and had 13 children.

             I cannot even trace "my" Baptists to the ones from Coldstream.
