Hi,

Does anyone please know any history of the forming of a Swedenborgian church in Pontardawe in the second half of the 1800s?

I understand that John Harris and others formed the church and he was excommunicated from the Church of England because of this. He was born in 1854 and emigrated in 1891.

There's a Link that mentions a Swedenborgian Church in Kelly's Directory for South Wales, but I don't know if its the one that you mean.

I was interested because I used to live near to a Swedenborgian Church in Crystal Palace, London.

Curiousity has me in its grasp and I was wondering if your late uncle might be a Harris descendant by the name of Daniel G. Harris?  I am searching for living Welsh descendants and hoping to make a connection.  Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks for your quick response.
