I am presently researching the following family...ISAAC COOPER born c 1819 in Bradwell. He was chr in Hope Aug 22 1819 I think his parents might have been JOHN COOPER and SARAH --?-- He married in the 2nd 1/4 of 1840 at Chapel En Le Frith,Derby. He died in the 1st 1/4 of 1902 His wife's name was Mary --?-- and she was born c 1822 in Chapel En Le Frith,Derby. She died between the 1881 and 1891 census. I do have the census trail of this couple from 1841-1901. It is the blank and Question marks I'd love to fill in.This couple had 7 known children: George Henry Cooper c1845 marr Elizabeth --?-- John Cooper c1848 Luther Benjamin c1850 marr Emily --?-- Abraham c1852 to 1890 marr Hannah Mary c1855marr George Bennett c1874 Isaac c1858 Hannah Maria July 17 1861 died Feb 7 1939 marr CHARLES CHAMBERS c 189? Isaac born c 1819 was a Lead Miner his whole life!! Any help on this or corrections very much appreciated. HANNAH M. Cooper and CHARLES CHAMBERS came to Canada. The CHAMBERS line is from Little Eaton,Derby.. Thanks in Advance...

Hi there
On IGI, Isaac Cooper csd in 1819 - parents were John Cooper and Sarah. Also on IGI is a possible marriage record of a John Cooper and Sarah Parkin 2 Dec 1816 in Hope. Other children listed with parenst John & Sarah who were christened in Hope are:
John csd 28 Sep 1828 died 4 Oct 1829 Charlotte 12 Oct 1826 George 14 Jul 1822 Hannah 28 Dec 1834 Francis 11 Jan 1824 Mary 15 July 1832 Sarah 15 Aug 1830
From the 1841 census in Hope, Bradwell parish, 2 other children are shown Anne born abt 1821 and John abt 1837.
On the 1841 census John's (senior) birth year was shown abt 1801 and his wife Sarah abt 1796. The 1851 census shows John's birth year about 1798, Bradwell and Sarah abt 1796, Tideswell. IGI has a record of a Sarah Parkin csd 27 Dec 1795, Tideswell ,parents John Parkin & Hannah.
Should keep you going for a while, happy hunting

THANKS TO SUZARD & SHIRL100 For your replies. I need a way to figure out how to separate these two following items. ______________________ **Free BDM Marr June 1/4 1840 Chapel En Le Frith same page ISAAC COOPER... MARY WARD...MARY ANN COOPER 19410 ______________________ **ISAAC COOPER---- min- bat- Miner- Bradwell-father John Cooper- Lab MARY ANN COOPER- min- bat-Cotton Spinner-father Benjamin Cooper ________________________ I figured out there could well be two Isaac Cooper marr in June 1840 (Great) Now I need to find a way to separate them. Was one marr in Chapel En Le Frith and the other in Bradwell??
Question..what does the "min" and "bat" mean in the above? I am asking these as this is my 1st English research

I can only find 1 Isaac Cooper married in 1840 Maybe I misled you Here is the full page for that marriage
Jun qtr 1940 (this is when the marriage was registered-so the actual marriage date would be between end mar-end of June)
Reference is Volume 19 Page 410
all the names listed on page 410 are
Hugh carside Bower Ann Bradwell Isaac Cooper Mary Ann Cooper Isaac Maltby Mary Ward
They are not listed in couples -it means that those 3 males married (probably) one of the 3 females listed (occasionally the partner is on a different page) as you knew Isaac married a Mary, I just listed the Mary's named As Isaac's wife is just mary (not mary A) on census then it is more likely (but not definate) that Isaac married Mary Ward which is why I stated "on same page"
Chapel en le Frith is not necessarily the town/village where the marriage took place. Chapel en le frith is the registration district which covers several towns/villages (one of them covered is Hope)
as for min and bat I think min =minor, which is under 21 at time of marriage possibly bat =batchelor (as opposed to Wid+widower -showing a previous marriage) However ofor a female it usually states Sp=spinster for a 1st marriage
Hope this helps-at least you don't have to worry about there being another isaac marrying abt the same time!
