Roman Catholic Priest John McEachron

Could anyone advise as to how I can check the records of
John McEachron, born C1819 Macduff.

1851 census, Revd Jno McEachron, age 32, Address Preshome,
Occ  Romsure Catholic  Mission ,and Biest of Fochaboi Tynett Poeshom & Burdie.

1861 Mr McEachren,  Age 42, Address No W Chapel St ,Portsoy.
Occ Roman Catholic Priest.

1871  Page Missing Scottish People.

1881 John McEachron, aged 62.
Address Chapeltown.  Occ R C Priest.

1891  Chapeltown, Glenlivet, aged 72 R C Priest.

I cannot trace him on the 1901 Census,  I also cannot find a death for him, Any advice as to where I might find any information?

I think this will be Roman Catholic Mission, Priest of Fochabers Tynett Preshom and Enzie

Try http://libindx.moray.gov.uk/mainmenu.asp - according to this he died on 7 July 1898 in Dufftown.

According to SP he appears to have died 7th July 1898, Marnvale Cottage, Fife Street,  Dufftown, aged 81. parents Lachlan McEachron and Christine m.s. Shand.

I think someone must have reversed the digits in the Morayshire site.

It's in the LIBINDX entry - Headstone Ref M(O)542. This means he's buried in Mortlach Old Cemetery. The Local Heritage Centre in Elgin will have a transcription of the inscription on the stone.
