Leadville - Moruya District or Inverell
« on: Thursday 18 January 07 20:54 GMT (UK) »

Thanks, guys, for all these pointers.

I'm trying to trace an Edith Latimer, an actress who was b in Leadville in 1882/3.

Looking at the NSW registry there seem to be two possibilities, one in Moruya District and the other in Inverell District.

To save me some dollars, can anyone tell me, please, if Leadville is in one or other of these?

Or is there any other way of getting the date without shelling out 25 bucks?

Hi Colin,
Not sure if the following will help you but I looked at an old NSW MAP, and Inverell is at the top, closer to Queensland, Moruya is at the bottom past Canberra, and Ledaville is in the centre nearer to Mudgee area..

         Good Luck.

Whoops! Sorry about misposting, Jenn. Didn't know where to put the query as strictly she wasn't an emigrant to Oz.

But in response to your question, I found the reference to Leadville in a
(usually reliable) theatrical directory here in UK, where she acted, married a Brit, lived and died.

A really nice pic, thanks.
