Yes, it may indeed. There is a huge difference in style between the Hebrides and the north-east of Scotland.

This message may come through twice.  I don't know where the first one went.

The gist of it was

Up until 33years ago I had lived in Alves and Elgin.  Since leaving we have had some lovely holidays in Burghead.  There is nothing better than having a nice walk along the beach a walk to the harbour to see the boats and then a walk up the street to buy some butteries for breakfast.  I may be sad but that is my idea of a great holiday.

I have not seen the burning of the Clavie but would love to.  I think I saw a photo of one year in the Commercial Hotel in Burghead.  You will probably have seen my message enquiring about George Mckenzie on the Moray Board.  He ran the Commercial in the early 1900s
