In 1871, the best I can offer is a lass b1857, Bitton - father Job - Labourer - in Kingswood area ...

Thank you for your reply...Bitton is in the right direction...I know these Labourers are very tricky to find wandering all over....I have not looked on 1861 Census...at her marriage in 1876 her father's name is listed as Joseph Gardiner...as she could not read or write.....Job could sound like Jo & written down wrongly, but one must not assume.... I will try to look at 1861 Census....thank you Janet
