Can anyone help me contact descendants of Charles Edward Hogg 17/01/1894 to 04/10/1990 and Edna (Beecher?). Charles died in Richmond BC, Canada. I understand they had at least one son - Edward Hogg, who married Eve (nee unknown), who in turn had children Gloria, Ronald, Carole and George Hogg. Despite the above information, this branch of my family has eluded me.

Thanks Josephine,
the cemetery site was new to me but no joy. I've sent dozens of letters to addresses on Canada 411 but no replies. Vital records only confirm what I know.

Maybe along with the letters you could possibly follow up with a quick phone call. I know cold calling strangers isn't always seen in the greatest light, but it couldn't hurt
Jeff.

Malcolm,
Have you tried writing a query letter to these newspapers:
http://www.yourlibrary.ca/community/RichmondReview/Archive/RR20060615/
http://www.richmond-news.com/
Or the library? http://www.yourlibrary.ca/
The library should have city directories. Maybe they could track the family forward that way.
Regards, Josephine
