SPENCE 1851/61 census please
« on: Saturday 20 November 04 17:29 GMT (UK) »

RICHARD SPENCE b. 1841 Huddersfield
Could someone please look up on 1851/1861 census in Denby area.
I am looking for his parents/siblings
He may have grown up in Huddersfield, but all has drawn a blank so far in that area.
By 1866 he was married and living in Denby-so he may have been in that area in 1861
Thankyou

The only Spence's living in Derbyshire in 1841 are these.....

1841
OCKBROOK, DERBYSHIRE (about 5 miles from Denby)
JAMES SPENCE  65 GROCER   I (Ireland)
GEORG     "        27 HOSIER    Y
ELIZA       "        25                  Y
-------------

*now the question is............is this relevant?
