I'm also connected to this family via Emma Thornhill, nee Holllinshead. Charles and Emma also had a daughter, Gertrude Emma Thornhill 1878 - 1919. Gertrude married Horace Drinkwater at St. John's in 1905.

Hi Gene,
I am descended from Emma's brother Charles who is my g-g-grandfather.
I have the Hollinsheads back 3 generations from their father Peter, but some of the dates are a bit vague.
My Hollinsheads also married into the same family of Thornhills a couple of levels down and I have quite a few generations back on these also.

Unknown
Unfortunately On John 1640 baptism it just says John son of Hollinshead and wife Margaret. at Gnosall, Staffordshire so that is as far as I've gone.

Joseph bap. 21 Dec 1721 Lilleshall married Ann Moreton bap. 28 Jan 1721 St. Mary, Stafford on 20 Jul 1742 at Bradley by Stafford. Their son Thomas was baptised 31 Mar 1754 at Penkridge, Staffordshire. Thomas first married Elizabeth Scott bap. 06 Jun 1756, Tamworth, Staffordshire, married 27 Dec 1776 Adbaston, Staffordshire, he then married Ann Mulliner, bap. 20 Jul 1760 Middlewich, Cheshire married 21 Apr 1783, St. Mary, Sandbach.

I have Thomas with both his marriages but I did not have his father as Joseph - although there is a reference to Lilleshall.
I will have to go back and recheck my tree.

Now I am a bit more confused.
I have Thomas 1754 with both his marriages, and I have John 1719 with 3 children Thomas 1754, Joseph 1761 and William 1763.
Which means I have Thomas 1754 as the son of John 1719 who is married to Margaret.
But you have Thomas 1754 as the son of Joseph 1721 - I do not have this Joseph - how does he fit in with John 1719 ?
