Place name help please - COMPLETED WITH THANKS!
« on: Thursday 25 January 07 11:18 GMT (UK) »

Hello all  Smiley

I posted a request on the Banff board relating to a place name I don't recognise, on a marriage cert dated 1724 from Boharm parish:

I know Boharm is one of those borderline parishes so I thought I'd better post here as well, so all you Moray experts get a chance to help me out  Wink
Thanks for any help  Cheesy

This may be a far stretch, however, there is a farm in Boharm Parish called "Auchmadies" which is 4 miles NW of Drummuir.

Found this on Google and perhaps back in 1724 the spelling was a little different as noted on your marriage certificate.
