ADDISON - Earsdon birth??

I am having trouble tracking down the birth of John Addison who was born around 1780 in the Earsdon area.  Ive checked the IGI and can find his children - John Reed (1804), Ann (1807 and 1812) and Jane (1809) and his marriage to Mary Reed in 1803, but nothing about his birth.

Could anyone suggest where I go next?

If you get a full transcription of the baptisms it will give you lots of information.  The bishop at that time insisted on full records so a baptism will have

date of birth, date of baptism, name then something like
2nd son of John Smith, coalminer native of the parish of wherever, by his wife Mary nee Jones, of the parish of wherever. 

Unfortunately Northumberland RO is closed for a few months, but Newcastle Central Library has transcripts.
