Bandwith Exceeded?
« on: Sunday 28 January 07 00:21 GMT (UK) »

Trying to view my website tonight, I got this message:

Not Found
The requested URL /bandwidth_exceed.htmlindex.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

What's going wrong?

Paul

You've exceeded your bandwidth allowance.

If you log into Rootschat file manager http://www.rootschat.net/cgi-bin/amanager.cgi  you'll see two bars - one is for the amount of space your site takes up, and the second is for your monthly usage.

I'll PM you

It appears McFry, Hamburger and the rest of your characters are much too popular for rootschat.  Wink  Wink

It must be the initial interest yn9man, as I only put the site up a week ago.  I'm sure it will die down.  Meanwhile, McFry will have to wait!

I think they're trying to tell us something, Keith!

There's always this alternative ... http://www.harrymcfryinvestigates.blogspot.com/  Maybe you've come across the Shropshire McFry's in your travels? !

I'm having to spend my spare time actually doing some family history research.  Do you think that was the plan?  Grin

Ok Paul just a few more hours until your site is up and running / walking or whatever again.

Breath deep and I am sure the initial interesters (is that a word?) will be flocking back.

The pencil tax has probably been put into action now!  Grin  Paul, you can't mount the anti-pencil tax campaign with a site that keeps disappearing y'know!  Grin Wink

You're right, PP - I must have been using invisible ink when I designed it!  Grin

If they do, I'll be outside there keeping them out!  Don't want it crashing out again!  There's my dear old mam telling her dancing buddies all about her son's new family history, and they try to get on and it's not there.  The shame of it!  Embarrassed

cheers

I've already visited your website Paul; but because it was late at night and there were few folks about, I thought it unlikely I'd bring it to a shuddering halt on my own.  Grin Wink
