Hello all,
Please could someone with access to 1841 and later censuses lookup the following Gard(e)ners for me in Romsey:
Charles Gard(e)ner, gentleman
Ann Street, his ??, living Cupernham, Romsey Extra 1850
Elizabeth Gard(e)ner, their daughter, born 6/1/1850, Cupernham, Romsey Extra.
Charles died before 1875, when Elizabeth was married.

Here he is in 1861. The image on Ancestry is almost unreadable, so here is the family as transcribed by ancestry,
Charles Gardner, head, 43, yeoman, b. Romsey
Ann Street, neice, 63, Housekeeper, b. Lymington Hampshire
Hannah Gardner, dau, 13, b. Romsey
Elizabeth Gardner, dau 10 "
Thomas Gardner, son, 10 "
Charles Gardner, son, 4 "
George Gardner, son, 3 "
Emily Gardner, dau, 1 "
residence Cuperuham, Romsey extra, RG9/685 folio 69 page 23.
Having squinted long and hard at the image, I do think that the correct age for ann street is 43, not 63, and I am not at all sure about the residence "cuperuham". I suggest you get a look at the image yourself to verify.
