Reaper and Mavor families from Banff
« on: Sunday 21 November 04 13:11 UTC (UK) »

I am currently researching my family history and have come across the name Bathia Mavor who was my G.G.G. Grandmother. She married my G.G.G. Grandfather James Reaper on 12 Dec. 1813 in Gamrie in Banff.  As both names are unusual, I was wondering if anyone can help. I seem to have come up against a brick wall in the Old Parish Registers. They would have been born about 1793.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Linton

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you made any progress,  or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Hi there

I've found what may have been their parents:-

James Reaper and Mary Thomson and James Maver and Helen Gordon, but I'm not 100% sure.

Hi Linda

Thanks for the update.  Sounds like you're making some progress.

Have you used the Scotlands People Website in your search?

Best wishes

Hi Ticker

I go into GRO once a month. I have also found some information on LDS. It's just a case of checking it and linking it up.

Who knows, maybe someday someone will see  my posts and realise that they have the info I need.

No! don't tell me I am dreaming.  Angry I already know this.
