Looking for info on Thomas Umney (b. 27 March 1791 at Sherington) - he was a wool-dealer at 12 Queen Street, in the parish of St Peter Martin and also in Canning Street, Bedford. He married Elizabeth Frost on 13 October 1815.
Thomas Umney and Elizabeth Frost had three children: 1 William (born in Newport Pagnell 1817, baptised 4 February 1817, m. Ruth Marriott), 2 Ann (baptised 13 August 1819 m. John Fleming, shoemaker of Commercial Road, St Paul, Bedford) 3 Thomas (baptised 1821).
In his will dated 27 April 1863 he refers to a nephew Robert Hazlewood the son of Richard a tailor, and Ann Hazlewood, of Simpson, Bucks. His will was witnessed by Joseph Horner and John Parrott, shoemaker.
Thanks for any help Byron Melbourne, Australia

Thanks Cathy, John, Tazzie & Geoff for all the info on my UMNEY ancestors.
Does anyone know if 12 Queen Street Bedford (as it was in 1851) still exists? If so, I would like to obtain a picture somehow.
