Does anyone have links to my family I'm searching for details of Arthur Bullivant Born Sheffield 1880 and lived in Cottingham in 1926 and died Holderness 1958. Someone thought he had a son or grandson who was or is a diver. I've tried several sources and can't trace his wife or children. I don't even know his occupation. His father had been a butcher but became a jobbing gardener. Many of his family were drapers or metal workers. Anyone know anything?

Have you found Arthur on any census? Have you found his birth in 1880? I have not found a birth but found a possible marriage in Sheffield:

bride either Eliza Furniss or Emma Loomes

I've found his marriage. It was in 1908 to an Ellen Attersley. She died in Holderness in 1965. I can't find any reference to her in any census in Sheffield but her birth must have been round about 1883 and family sources suggest her father's name was James. Obviously I'll need to get the marriage certificate but I just want to be sure of my facts before I apply so I don't get the wrong one. Arthur can be found with his father Richard in Heeley in 1891 and then back to Ecclesall Bierlow (i.e St Augustines parish) in 1901 Probably where he married but obviously I need to establish that.

Kelly's directory for 1933 has Arthur Bullivant, jobbing gardener iving at 60 Woods Lane, Cottingham.

Ellen's surname is ATTLESEY (not Attersley) according to FreeBMD, so this might be her birth:
