Trying to find what connection the following are to each other so would appreciate any new info from the census.
I have what I believe is linked to mine on a distant branch Samuel Padwick wife Jane Padwick nee Lock children Jane 1849 Samuel 1850 Fanny 1851 Maria 1853 William 1854 Edith 1857 Emma 1858 Francis 1860 Edwin 1863 Harry 1866 Annie 1869
Jane Padwick was a widow at Fairfield farm in 1881 although she gives her place of birth as East Meon I believe it should be the Isle of Wight, there is a death for a Jane Padwick of Upper Farm at East Meon in 1890 and there is also a death for a Charlotte Prudence Padwick of Upper Farm East Meon in 1876, I want to establish if there is some connection between Samuel and Jane and the Charlotte Padwick so if someone can find them for me in an earlier census I would be most grateful. IOW Maiden.

William Padwick and wife Charlotte P lived next door but one to Samuel and jane in 1871! living with them was William's sister Elizabeth.... who in 1861 was living with her brother Samuel and his wife jane!!!! So Charlotte Prudence would be samuel's sister in law!!!
census on way

Thankyou very much Suzard for the census info, yes I would like the 1851 census if you please, its all adding up now, I believe Samuel Padwick was the son of Samuel and Susan Guy who married in 1809 at East Meon, William was also their son and he married Charlotte Prudence Weeks in 1860 at Winchester.I was able to find the marriage after you said her husband was William Padwick. Thankyou also to Bearcat, a very good site, I used it a few years ago to look up some Lock's but had lost the address so had been using another East Meon site, at least East Meon is well covered for BMD's, what would we do without these people that take their time to transcribe the records.

Yes,you've confirmed what I thought, thankyou so much, wish all other familys were as easy to work out, but it does help having the transcribed records, I will look for the M.I'S tomorrow,if I start again tonight it may be a few hours before I get to bed, you know what its like once you get your teeth into something.
A big thankyou again to both of you, most grateful.
