Maybe if you send for the death certificate a family member was informant of the death? May give a clue?
Or look in local newspapers for a funeral report.

Hello Debby,
If you've had no luck try a message to the Herald Express which covers the Torbay area.

Torquay Cemetery & Crematorium have an office and a plan of the cemetery. If you contact the office by email thay may tell you where the grave is located and there may be an inscription on it. If you get a location for the grave a kind rootschatter who lives in Torquay may go take a look for you. Torquay is only one town in Torbay - Torbay also includes Paignton and Brixham and if he died in Torbay hospital - it may also include Newton Abbot (I think). Torquay is the biggest town I think and best place to start.

Hello Debby,
The Torbay Council website ... www.torbay.gov.uk shows that there are four cemeteries in the Torbay area ... Torquay Cemetery, Hele Road; Torquay Cemetery, Barton Road; Paignton Cemetery, Ailescombe Road; and Paignton Cemetery, Colley End Road.
