Meant to also say. Would be worthwhile you following up on possible monumental inscriptions for both Girvan and Monkton and Prestwick. I assume that Samuel Snr and Margaret may have been buried in Girvan and at least 3 of the sons (Thomas, Samuel and James) in New Prestwick area.

Got James 1808 in Tarbolton living with his parents and Samuel is listed as a Baker F so solves that one.
As Samuel's children were mostly weavers, I think that when is son Samuel died being a Weavers Agent in 1870 something slipped.
