RIC Shooting
« on: Sunday 04 February 07 01:45 UTC (UK) »

My great uncle was killed while lying in his bunk in his barracks on Dec. 26, 1919.    Would anyone know if there are any newspapers at that time.  Maybe there would be a record of it.  Or do you know if there is any inquest records available?  Would love to see them.  His service record was altered....notation erased and written over with "shot accidentally by comrade".  Wonder what really happened.

Hello Mary,

The Local Studies section of the Tipperary Library may be able to assist.

Christopher,
I am so very excited.  I just received a reply to my research question to the Tipperary Library.  They were able to find articles on my uncle's death.
Thank you so very much for helping me.
