I am looking for a John Hepburn Morren in the 1891 census. John was born in 1875 and I am hoping he is with his father Hugh Mitchell Morren and step mum Jane (mother Ann).
Any help would be appreciated.

He is not with his father and stepmother in Mortlach but I think I've found him in Botriphhnie, Banff, a farm servant at the farm of a Joseph Moggach:
John Moran, aged 15, Farm Servant, b. Mortlach

Thanks for your reply. It could be him. Did you find a Hugh and Jane Morren in the 1891 census? Hugh was born in 1854. He died in 1896.
Can you access the 1901 census for John Hepburn Morren. He did not marry until 1903. In 1903 he lived in Knockando. I wondered if he worked in a distillery at the time of the census in 1901.

Jane, 34

Hugh, 3,
James, 1,
Jane Reif or Reid (?), aunt, wid, 68
All except Hugh, snr, born Mortlach, Banff
If no one else has access to the 1901, it can be searched and viewed on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk.

Thanks for that information.
The information I had been given by someone else who had partly done the Morren Tree had Hugh Mitchell Morren married to Jane Munro (second wife) first wife left after son John born in 1875. There was mention of children Nellie, Nathaniel and William being born to them I found Nathaniel on Libindx but not the other two. Libindx also had Hugh, Bella and Alexander. Alexander died in 1903 and I have just noticed he was born in 1891 which would explain him not being on the census.
The children's names you have given me explains a few things. Thanks for that.
