Hi,
I have found in my gggg grandfathers Will, a mention of George Dean who married Sarah Josolyne, probably somewhere between 1780 and 1810, somewhere in Essex, it's a bit of a long shot but does anyone have these names in their family tree ?
Thanks
Anna

Hi Anna,
How clear is George's surname? I've found a marriage between a Sarah Joscelyne and a George Fenn, 19th April 1781, at White Notley, Essex. It was an extracted record on IGI.

Hi Nanny Jan,
I can't read the Will but someone transcribed part of it for me, all it says is "Sister Sarah Deane wife of George Dean, farmer, Akesden".
Thanks

Hi,
Many thanks for the info. Valda, I think you have also answered my other post. I knew that Thomas m. Mary Woodcock (he was a brother to Sarah) and the other Thomas m. Sarah Hockley (we think that he was their father re-marrying ).
The fact that Sarah married George in Arkesden makes me wonder if that is where the children were all born.
I don't suppose your source lists any other Josolyne's or variants.
Thanks
Anna

I have given you all the entries on Boyds marriage index. Arkesden is not covered on the IGI or BVRI. The National Burial index does have coverage from 1690 and there are only three Joselin burial entries there.
13th February 1753 Elizabeth Jocelin
2nd April 1754 Elizabeth Jocelin
29th July 1814 Sarah Jocelyn aged 86
