George Blakelock was baptised in the Zion Meeting House in Bondgate Without in Alnwick, Northumberland on 3rd November 1776. I am trying to find out who his parents were and where were they born, it has been suggested it was Slaley in Northumberland. Any help would be greatly appreciated please.

Hi Bobh
Welcome to RC
Well I checked out the IGI on latter Day Saints site and founf George - christened 3rd November 1776. The only parent it gives is his father who was also George Blakelock.
Looks like it may be a trip to the Records Office for that area. Do you live near that area? maybe some kind soul on here could search for you if they are visiting

Just typed out a message and then saw you had typed one as well and already been there. Oh these families in Northumberland - always on the move and never easy to find are they? Have a fair share of them myself - Burns, Turnbull, Davidson, Mills, Ker, Wallace.
Carol
Hi Bobh Checked through IGI and found James Blakelock with same father christened in same place but 21 June 1779
Found a few others who were christened in Alnwick and with parents George and Elizabeth Blakelock / Blacklock - Isabel bap 26 May 1782, Isabella bap 30 Oct 1796 and William bap 13 Feb 1785
Found the George Blacklock born in Slaley bap 4 Mar 1739 son of George and Anne
No other details that could help though

Dear Carol, As you say it's just another brick wall to get round but with patience we might just do that. Many thanks, Bobh
