Hello all,  Im searching for the exact location of where my grandad x 3 was born in Co Louth. all i have is that it was 1842, Richard Fitzsimmons, and by 1881 he was living in Liverpool. Any feedback at all would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Couldn't help seeing your message, are you related to the Fitzsimmons who ran The Lamb Pub in Wavertree?   My Dad (Tom Fearon) has been trying to find a Fitzsimmons (Phil I think) who served in the RAF in El Firdan between 1944 and 1948.

Cheers

On the off-chance....any relation to Patrick Fitzsimons b1837 and m Elizabeth Denvir 1855, Whitehaven, and of whom I can find no trace, other than censii from 1871 describe Elizabeth as widowed, and childless? I think he was a sailor, and was alive, although I don't know where, in 1861, as Elizabeth was not a widow on this census. I have some evidence that he died in 1865, and that he had 2 brothers, one sister.

Many thanks - and apologies if no connection.

At this stage, I really couldnt say, as far I as know, most of my Fitz's settled in Liverpool, his father was titled George, but I have nothing more on him at the mo, am awaiting fiche film for Carlingford BMD for relelvant period, but apparently alot of the  info is illegible....typically!!
