 hi , i know its a bit after the fact, but you could try www.cultrans.com.
they reprint cumberland newspapers, the sites free, they just ask for a donation to keep the site going,
it helped me a great deal, and its a good read also,

Hi Cass,
I will have a look for you on tue this week thats my day off work, i was looking for my late grand father who died in 1950s i had searched every were for him and then found his death in the newspaper dated 1953 so im sure i can find your request, just be a little bit patient i will get it to you as soon as possible. I have got all the details from your post.
