looking for Gerard Menzies
« on: Saturday 10 February 07 11:51 GMT (UK) »

Can anyone help pls? Gerard was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire in Oct. 1922 to Jane Purse Menzies, her married name was Butler.  Gerard is my uncle and my mum Margaret has been trying to find him for years.  The Sussex connection is that he married Betty in Brighton in 1951.  He was in the RAF and on cruise ships.  he may have gone to USA?Canada?  his nickname was gedgy.  Would be thrilled if this rings any bells with anyone.  I have most of the info our family but this eludes me.  Thanks J.  I'm new to this I hope this is ok

Hi J
We don't usually mention any details of people who might be living so be careful that you do not reveal too much about them if you think they are still alive.  You can alter the post to cut out personal details by using the modify button.
You can search English deaths free on www.ancestry.co.uk    Choose the complete BMD version.   Electoral rolls for Brighton might help if they lived there for any length of time.   The current phone book might also be useful or www.192.com.
