Can anyone tell me if these towns are close together.
Cleator, Whitehaven in Cumberland. This is the area that my relations came from.
This town I am curious about is called   Isel   This is a  birth place of a relative back 1n 1799. The person I am looking at is John Todd and the parents were William Todd & Jane Bowstead. The nameing patern is right. I would just like to confirm the area before searching further.

Isel is a few miles NE of Cockermouth - about 20 miles by road from Whitehaven and Cleator.
