Can anyone find Charles Guthrie b 1791 at Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire and his wife Elizabeth Brown b 1792 at Dalston, Cumberland on the 1841 Census? Thanks. Grin

Hi

This is the only one I can find but the age shown is 80 on the image but his wife is only 50 so it may be an error.  It fits your profile but the surname on the image is spelt GUTTRIE.  All surname Guttrie & all b Cumberland apart from Charles snr

Ages were rounded down to the nearest 5 years in 1841

Civil parish was Dalston and address appears to be Hawksedale - Hill Top

Charles 80 ag labourer b Scotland
Betsy (probably short for Elizabeth) 50
Agnes 20
Charles 15 - (birthyear transcribed as 1796 giving age as 45 but image definitely shows 15)
George 12
Henry 9
Elizabeth - 6 or 8
HO107/164/22 Folio 6  Page 6

IGI has births for all above children apart from George and parentage is Guthrie & Brown
