Hello,

I am trying to find my family on the 1841 & 1851 Census.

Richard FREEMAN b 1783 Ashdon, Essex
Milly b 1781 Bartlow, Cambs

Richard and Milly were married in Ashdon in 1800.

I have found Richard & Milly on the 1851 census but not 1841. In 1851, they are living Green Lane, Ely Cambridgeshire.

there are 2 lots of younger Freemans in Linton if you want them

Dolly, I have a book called "Annals of Ashdon, no ordinary village" in which it mentions a Richard Freeman being brought forward for legal settlement in 1880.  There is no knowing if this Richard is the same one that you have been researching but I send you the details of the settlement by PM if you are interested.
