Hi Jono, have you seen these on the 1841 in Alston, think they are at Payhouse/Dryhouse?, Thomas Graham aged 60, woodcutter, Margaret aged 55, John aged 20, smelter and another word I can't read very well and Margaret aged 15, all not born in county.
Hope this helps
Anna

Hi Jono,
The dates and ref nos are the GRO details.
See www.gro.gov.uk
The only way to find details is to order the certificates which cost £7 a time. In general death certs give limited info but would give the age at death plus the informant who might be someboby from the family or not.
The date is the quarter in which the death was registered and the no the ref for the entry.
That is the only way to get the details but for you would be complicated by the fact that there are 2 entries for each death and you do not know which is the correct one. Regards Geoff
