Edward SMITH m. Mary QUINCEY (1839?)

I think there were six or seven children.

Ed 1848,  Emma 1850,  Joseph  1851 all bapt. at Farcet plus others I'm sure.

FreeBMD have marriage of Mary Quincey in Jul/Sept 1839 at Peterborough RD (that covers Farcet) vol 15 page 449. On same page is Edward Smith ---- & I also notice a William Quincey.
The IGI has this marriage on 30 SEPT 1839 at Farcet, Hunts

No sign of William SMITH born Farcet area, 1840 ish, on the 1861 Census.  There are quite a few deaths for William SMITH in the Peterbro district between 1851 and 1861, one of them is most likely yours.

all baptised at farcet huntingdonshire to parents edward smith to mary-
edward bapt 26th nov 1848
emma bapt 5th may 1850
joseph bapt 17th aug 1851
hannah bapt 5th june 1853
david bapt 4th nov 1855
quincey christmas bapt 30th june 1861........and yes that is what it said  Grin

there is no william smith of correct age being buried in st marys farcet before 1861 so unless he moved Huh
i notice the earlier children were born in lincolnshire??
having just found the family on the 41 i can confirm that william and sister susannah were indeed born in lincolnshire-
living in crowland lincolnshire
edward smith 30yrs born out of county
mary 25yrs born out of county
william 2yrs born in county
susannah 1yr born in county
