Hi
What is your SPARNON connection? I have a lot of information on this family and can put you in touch with the people coordinating the research - this is a single, world-wide family; every one of them appears to be related!
Send me a P.M. with your info and I will pass it on to the relevant people.
Regards, Bill

Hi I have a Harriet James marrying John Penfold in 1831 in Dorset...they has lots of kids who married into the Orchard family.ie: elizabeth Penfold b.1845 married Edwin Orchard b.1843. My gggrandparents were Thomas Penfold and Sophia Orchard...married in 1866 in Devon, they had a number of children too and they all seemed to end up in the Kenwyn and St Austell areas. The Penfolds and Orchards were all Gypsy travellers and it seems as if they intermarried quite a lot . I hope you can find a link. Look forward to hearing from you deb

Regarding researching Cornwall names has everybody tried looking at the Devon GenWeb - Part of the England GenWeb Project? I have found some of my Cornwall names in there.

Hi, I am interested in POLLARD. My connection is William POLLARD and wife Caroline GEORGE who came to South Australia in 1847, after marrying in circa 1843. They were from Cornwall

Hi Samantha, I don't know a great deal, but this is what I do know. William POLLARD was born circa 1820. He married circa 1843 to Caroline GEORGE who was born circa 1824. They arrived in Australia in 1847 on the RAJAH with their infant son, William Henry (born circa 1846). They may have had another son who either died in Cornwall or on the voyage over. thanks for getting in touch

Hi guys, as I'm in this loop of a thread, I've been getting your messages too. Although I don't have any POLLARDs in my tree (well not yet anyway), I had a check of the 'First Families 2001' you can google that project in Australia and found mention of lots of POLLARDs that emigrated from all over the place.
It's well worth the look at that website, I won't provide the link as it mucks up, you're best finding it yourself.
Once there make sure you click on the alphabetical letter 'p' for pollard instead of typing in 'pollard'.
Cheers and hopefully this info will help someone. I found my DENNER ancestors from Cornwall there too - William Denner and Mary Ann Pyne. With a fount of information, I was truly happy.
Al in QLD Australia.

Hello Lulu,
Do you know where in Cornwall your Pollard's are from? I have Pollards from around that time in Kea/Kenwyn area, but have St Neot connections with female lines also.
Hi Samantha,
I don't have much on my Pollard's but am happy to fill you in if you like, just PM me if you are interested
Jenny
