Hi
I have Joseph Foley (c1760) marrying Ann Knight (c 1764) on 17 May 1884 in Lawhitton Cornwall. does anyone have any access to parish records who could give any more details eg fathers names, witnesses, addresses.
I cant go any further back with Joseph. any help very much appreciated.

Hi Vron,
You might have a try at searching baptisms for that parish on the Cornish OPC site, I've had the most amazing amount of luck finding members of my family there (Tuckingmill and Redruth parishes)...you might strike it lucky finding parents, etc...

i di have ann knights christening from IGI but had missed the marriage so thanks. it is particularly Joseph foley i am trying to trace back as i am having a bit of success with the knights etc. there are plenty of foleys about but cant seem to find a birth for joseph - that is why i was hoping the marriage might show his father.

Hi Vron,
Big pity there aren't more, so far I've found good OPC websites for Dorset, Wolverhampton and environs (Staffordshire), Frome (Somerset), some in Wiltshire, and some in Essex.
There are some good resources out there - just a case of looking and (also) checking out the rootschat 'resources' pages under each county for ideas - many of these I've found through following links that I've found on these pages.
