James Spencer, Cleckheaton

I'm trying to trace the family of James Spencer, of Cleckheaton. One of his sons was Richard Spencer, born in 1834. They should appear in the 1841, 1851 and 1861 censuses. Undecided

Can anybody help? Huh

There is someone else looking for Spencer's on the board (page 1) - could yours be related to theirs?? - look under "Leeds Look-ups"...........

However, I've looked and looked, and I can't find it. I'm probably being dim, but I've found the Beeho, Scanlon, Calvert posts, etc, but not the Spencer one.

I just noticed this old theread.  Are you still looking for the Spencers in Cleckheaton?  I mapped out all of the Spencer Families in the Huddersfield Area some time ago to try and find where one of my ancestors fit.
