Help needed,Baptist Minister,Waterford.

My Grt Grandfather was a Baptist Minister and according to a letter,  he was in Waterford  circa 1868- 1875,and that is all I know about his time there, what can I do to find what church he was at and also where he was living while there.His name was Samuel Davey Thomas and he was born 1843,in Cardiff ,Wales.He didn,t marry until after he went back to England around 1875.

Happy Easter Tsumi,

It might be an idea to send a message to The Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland (Southern Region). 
I tried the Advanced Search and found a website that looked the part until I tried it. It certainly has nothing to do with a Church. There is a Contact Us and a form on which you can post your message on the Association's site.

Baptists have been in Ireland since around 1650. Churches were formed in Dublin, Waterford and Cork at that period and they exist to this day. Originally the work here was supervised by the Baptist Union in England but a century ago this link was broken and the work in Ireland has grown under Irish supervision.

I looked at the Waterford Library catalogue to see if they have a book about the Baptist Church but they have not got one. There's a Baptist Church in Catherine Street, Waterford. The phone number is in the link but there's no email address.

Many thanks for the information I had tried the link like yourself and found the adverts etc ,also I had written ,no reply to date !
So I guess it is going to be a phone call ,(I will need shares in Telecom).
