Can anyone assit with finding the birth records of ELiza Morton  parents Robert Morton and Elizabeth Lovett. ?

From my certificates I gather she was born between 1830 and 1837 in Belturbet Cavan. She was also protestant.

I have had a look on the 1841 index.
There is an Eliza Morton in Coronary or Corran
There is also a Robert and Elisabeth in this area.

Hello Robyn,

Is the Elizabeth Morton you are asking about the same one mentioned in the Earls Family Chronicles?

Hiya Robyn,

I don't have a site so you didn't give me information.

The Earls Family Chronicles is the site of Christopher Earls Brennen.

some Co. Cavan parish transcripts are available on the Irish Family History Foundation pay-website at : www.irish-roots.ie  (€5 to view each record)

I had a quick look and there are Morton entries, including a listing for a baptism for an Elizabeth in 1835.

A couple of the entries use the spelling variation - Moreton,
There are also some Lovett entries listed in Cavan - spelling variations include Lovet, Lovatt, Lovate, Lovatt

If the parents died after Civil Registration they should be listed in the Civil Register. Familysearch have in Index to the Irish registers online at : http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#c=1408347;p=2;t=searchable
