The Inverness Emigrant Index was compiled by Peter Madden, Newcastle, Australia with help and corrections from Athol McDonald, Margaret Guider, Greg from New Zealand and several others. It was last updated in January of this year. There's a note on the link from Peter which says that the original form of the index is a SPREADSHEET done by "Microsoft Works". It looks much tidier than the internet version ! If any RootsChatter would like to do some serious research from this index Peter would be glad to forward the spreadsheet if they contact him. His email address is in the link. The Inverness Emigrants - Family Links & Biographies are also on the link.
