George and Elizabeth Guning of Bitton, Gloucestershire

My ancestor George Guning of Bitton (born 1640/55) married Elizabeth?  I would like to know exactly who George's parents and grandparents were as there is a very good line going back to 1360, by then the name had changed to Gonnyng or Gonning. Possibly George's parents were Thomas Gunning(1610-1685) and Joyce Osborne but I am informed that this may not be so. The next generation is also a bit mixed up, it could be Timothy or Thomas Gunning. but the line does go back through the Gunnings of Cold Ashton which is very near to Bitton and I know it is the same family.  The Whittington's also married into this family as did the Bush and Evans families. Does anyone have any knowledge of these families.
