Hi,

Look up please for Caroline Hill,born circa 1830  (Bosbury area , i think) who married James Mason.
Would like to know her parents please.

 Married in Bosbury on  November 1851 so place of birth should show up on 1851 Census. 
Aged 23 in Withington on 1851 Census.  James is aged 33

Only birth that fits is Caroline daughter of Joseph and PRiscilla Hill who was baptised at Colwall in October 1828

A copy of the marriage certificate should verify the father, and also her age.
Obtainable from Ledbury Regsiter Office, Council Office, Church Lane Ledbury

On the 1861 census in Bosbury Caroline enumerated as Catherine gave her age as 28 and her birthplace as Docklow. In 1871 she was 40 and born Stovridge. Her age was 46 in 1881 when she repated Docklow as her birthplace. She blew it completely in 1891 and gave 63 and Worcestershire. 72 and Leominster in 1901.
Docklow I believe is between Leominster and Bromyard.

Caroline Hill  21 Colwall, Herefordshire,  House Servant

The couple in Withington on the 1851 census with a young child are

Priscilla was 67 and a widow on the 1851 census born 'Bulla'?

Docklow is probably halfway between Leominster and Bromyard, but Storridge is right on the Worcestershire border, much nearer to Colwall....

Need to get that Certificate
