Need information on the family of John McMichan b1784 Carlaverock, married to Mary Dickson abt 1808...they had nine children that I know of. Their daughter Jean/Jane had a daughter named Agnes (illigit) b Jan 16, 1839. On the baptism record written in the margin it says: "Farish, the reputed father denies".......this child is listed on both the 1841 and 1851 census as Agnes Farish. I would very much like to find out what happened to this daughter.
Jean/Jane McMichan is my great grandmother and I would like to find out about Agnes Farish to complete our family.
Related names in the McMichan family were Scott, Wright, Johnstone, Sturgeon, Crombie, Merrick.
