Hi,
I'm trying to find the following family on the 1851 and the 1861 census
Richard TROW and family from Much Wenlock. I am not sure what his wifes name was but do know that the children are
William Richard James Ann Thomas Ellen born 22 March 1843
Thanks.

Thanks so much Pauline for your very quick response.
Wow! I've been trying to hunt down this for a while and not made any progress, so definitely pleased that I joined thsi site today and posted, its really made it so worthwhile and I sure will be doing more posting and querying.
Wonder where Sarah was in the 1851 census?? and what happened to all the others at the time of the 1861 census. I'm tracing Ellen in particular as she was my gg grandmother, so just wonder where she is in this census.
Thanks Chrissy

Hi Pauline
Absolutely brilliant!
Yes, that sounds pretty much it, as I had some of those names but couldnt get them to gel together, like you have done here today. Thanks so much for an awesome job there.
The Pardoe name rings a bell somewhere so will have to have a look through all my papers as have some old letters (150 years) here, I think I recall seeing Pardoe in those letters, so that definitely sounds like the one.
Ellen is a big mystery tho, as I have not been able to track down a marriage certificate anywhere in NZ, according to a few of her childrens birth certificates she was married in Ross Westland New Zealand to Thomas Henry Pearson on 24 May 1865. Searched through NZ indexes, cant find anything anywhere, but I did find on FamilySearch site that they were married 24 May 1870. I did find an entry on that site also for Ellens first marriage and she had one daughter who was bought up as a Pearson ( even her granddaughter did not know that Thomas was not her grandmothers real father - oops . )
So thanks so much for your help here - awesome to finally be able to have some answers after trying to chase them for the last 7 years!! I would get to a block so left it for a while then had another go, and on it goes but now problem solved!
Regards Chrissy
