Henry Dixon bn 1809 Norham

I am looking for information about the above named.  He is not listed in Hugh Wallis  for birth or christening and about  1831 married Eleanor Smart ( dissenter)  I don't know where.  They  first appear in records at  Kimmerstone Farm, Ford in 1841 and I have a concise history since then.  I would appreciate help to pre 1841 location or irregular marriage.  Second  child of Marriage, Robert bn at Lowick ( New Haggiston)  1 Oct 1833

Hi John

Your couple's marriage is not recorded in the Berwickshire OPR's.

I've also not found it in the Irregular Marriages recorded in the Berwick Advertiser.

I can take a look at the Northumberland Marriage Index a bit later on today.

If you haven't already done so I suggest you also post this to the Northumberland board - there may be members that have Indexes for Parish Records for North Northumberland.

I had a search at Berwick last year with no result.   In the 1841 The oldest child is given as bn in Norham, Thomas Dixon. 1832

Hi John

I've looked at the Northumberland Marriage Index (1813 - 1837) and there's no entry for Henry DIXON.

I've also checked Lamberton Toll Marriages (1833 - 1849) and there's no entry there either.

Have you searched at the following - Norham baptisms and marriages are available for a small charge.

I thought they might have gone to Ladykirk as many Presbyterians did  from Norham but I cant find anything either.
