H Guys sorry hav'nt gotten back on the crashing subject but had to leave it for the weekend as had my Grandaughter down and she dont like sharing me with the PC. or anyhting else for that matter giggles. Well almost as soon as I turned on today I had another crash, so I did as suggested and went into troubleshoot on all three of the error messages which I have attached,by the way for your delectation!! I have not got a clue what the "MGA video device" is its going on about and as for the IPEC error had a look at the troubleshoot for that and apart from the fact that Idont really understand what it is I couldnt make head nor tail of their solution and am afraid I might make the situation worse !!! I think its getting time to call in the cavalry but apart from the expense of that their answer always seems to be to wipe the machine and start again and I really dont want that !! thanks for trying guys anyhows
checked for the camera in start up nothing there ?! i put the 3 error screens on here as you can see the one says the MGA device the second says the IPSEC service terminated and the third error message says the K service hung on starting, still no wiser will download that freebie and try that . Just noticed the rest of our message on the K service yes I have the programme downloaded but I have never used it yet
The IPSec and the KService may be related - one is dependent on the other. If you signed up to Sky broadband in the last few weeks then it might indicate that this is causing a conflict and therefore a crash/hang.
Check in Device Manager for the camera thing.
Start->Settings->Control Panel->System and click on the Hardware tab and then click on the Device Manager button.
Check to see if there is a camera device or for any errors.

no to the sky broadband not with hem for that but tried to open the sky anytime and it gave an error so have deleed it from the system for now checked for the MGA device not on the PC have looked everywhere and in the device manager, will wait for next crash and have a look at the errors again I guess and see what it comes up with next time ! HO HUMM !!
Bear in mind that the Sky thing may have entries in Windows Registry which might tell it to launch KService.exe. So just removing KService.exe may not solve the problem.
If you did download TuneUp utilities then get it to do a thorough analysis of your Registry.
Potentially, you may have problems with your registry, pointing to things that no longer exist so you are advised to get a registry checker and run it once a week or more.

well I think its really time to give up Downside, I dowloaded the checker and it said it found loads of probs so I told it to fix them, it told me it had and everything was now wonderful in PC land and then it promptly crashed !!! GRRRRRR
Although you have anti-virus software installed, you still might have something on your PC that is causing this problem. Run a scan and post it here or on Major Geeks to see if anyone can identify a problem.
