All Saints Hospital - Birmingham
« on: Thursday 25 November 04 00:30 GMT (UK) »

Hi does anyone have any info relating to All Saints Hospital (City Asylum) when it was an asylum. The address was Lodge Road.

My Great Grandfather worked there at various times in the 1900's as a nurse along with his brother.

thanks

Hi Tabitha

The Archives section of Birmingham Library has most of the records for City Asylum, you can view them but not photocopy as some of them are in bad condition.

Thanks Neelia  Smiley

Unfortunately I can't get to Birmingham to see the archives of the hospital. I was hoping to find someone who had an ancestor that also worked at All Saints during it's "asylum" years that may have talked about what it was like to work there!!

I guess I'll have to keep trying  Grin

Cheers
