I have a Samuel Harryman Gritton purportedly born in Keswick, Cumberland in about 1803. I am trying to find his parents names but they are not on LDS.

There is another family of Grittons on LDS with Russell as middle name - ie
Maria Russell Gritton 1796
Percival Russell Gritton 1789
Sarah Russell Gritton 1791
Rebecca Gritton 1794

My Samuel Harryman Gritton had children by all four first names, with one of them being called Maria Russell Gritton!!

Sarah Russell Gritton and Rebecca Gritton the elders had a "ladies academy" in Keswick in 1829.

Thanks so much for finding me the information. I was struggling as it was not on LDS and I dont have access to an LDS centre near me.

This now means that I can link up the Russell Grittons with my Samuel Harryman Gritton. I wonder why he had the middle name Harryman and the others had Russell?? It obviously comes from further back along the line. This family tended to incorporate the mother's maiden name into the family name.
