Hello 'lesleyp1964' wherever you are,
Have you not tried the internet.? Robert Burns (1759-1796) and Agnes Broun (1732-1820) etc etc etc.. It's all there. No need to reinvent the wheel.

Hi Lesley There are lots of public trees on Ancestry which include Robert Burns - from a quick glance I see his grandfather was Gilbert Brown and his grandmother Agnes Rainie. That would be a good place to start ie see what other Browns have found! I hope you manage to find the link. I was in Callander on Monday - my son insisted on getting an ice cream in the Main Street and as you may recall, it was (trying to) snow! I know the Brown family in the white house at Teithside, beside the red bridge - any relation? By co-incidence, my grandparents used to live in that house. Val
