If someone has sight of the Parish Registers for Horningsea I wonder if they could check the marriage of William Minns and Elizabeth Clayton in the first half of 1884 (ie Jun Quarter) please. I am trying to establish exactly which William Minns this was and as Elizabeth was born in Horningsea I am hoping that the marriage is in the Parish Register rather than a Nonconformist one.
Cheers Brian

There is NOT a record of William MINNS and Elizabeth CLAYTON in the Horningsea Parish marriage records for 1884. There is a record in Freebmd for William and Elizabeth for Chesterton ( Just across the river) in June 1884. Maybe I , or someone else can look in Chesterton records next week. I did find
1882 Dec 25 Charles COLE age 20 married Sarah CLAYTON
Wit. Elizabeth CLAYTON and James Daniel NEWMAN
Sarah's father was John CLAYTON Labourer.

Thanks Bob, you are a star. A negative answer is as good as a positive one (well almost). I will keep my fingers crossed that someone might find them in Chesterton. Thanks for the information on the Clayton family.
Cheers Brian

Thank you so much Bob this is exactly the result I was hoping for. I had him down as probably Thomas' son.
I am most grateful for your help. Thanks
