During a recent visit to the UK I managed to get information about the following people, but due to time constraints I couldn't delve any deeper.
My 2nd great grandparents were a Walter Alfred Smith (b. 1846) and Susannah Maria Whomes (b. c1847).
I have Walter's birth certificate and he is the son of Henry Smith & Elizabeth Falgate and he was born in King's Lynn. Any information that could be provided from any census or other records from 1841 on would be greatly appreciated.
Susannah is another matter. My great grandfather's birth certificate lists her as Susannah M Whomes, but the marriage certificate in 1867 has her as being Susannah Maria Thomas. Now there is a witness on this of Whomes so I presuming that there was an error, especially as according to help I have received there was no-one in the King's Lynn area called Susannah Thomas in 1851 or 1861, but there was a Susannah Whomes.
Therefore according to this Susannah was the daughter of Thomas Whomes and Maria Kirby. In 1851 they were living with Maria's parents Dennis & Keziah. If anyone has any information from the 1841 census I would be very grateful.

Thanks for this information! It fits in perfectly as I know that a son Frederick Smith married a girl called Emma Heeley from the Penistone area!
Just out a matter of interest is there a record of Frederick Smith in the area at that time?
